No Video of TBM 2.x/iTronbike?

For documentation purposes, I will perform a run of the bike using the TBM 2.x ARM machine and the iPhone/iPod Touch "iTronbike" viewer.

I really like the analog look of the xenoDisplay, but I'm not sure they read my K.I.S.S. blog entry on using the iPhone as a display for a motorcycle ;)

I was looking into the xeno display for my project but sadly it wont interface with the controller that I am using. I want to use my ipod touch that I am hard wiring into my stretch cruiser. my question for you is how does your display opperate, does it connect to the CA? Any help on how to do something like what you have with my setup would be awsome. feel free to check out my build here http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13787

Hi. The only "open" way you can connect the iPhone/iPod to anything is using WIFI.

There is a hardware program for manufacturers to attempt to create peripherals that COULD directly connect, but the approval process for hardware is probably even more insane than the software!

Check this out: http://developer.apple.com/technologies/iphone/sdk/accessories.html

I am plotting next steps with my gauge - currently it connects to the Alltrax controller via serial cable, and uses a bicycle-like magnetic sensor for speed/distance.

The iPhone version, "iTronbike" uses wifi to talk to a Linux ARM computer with a wifi hub. I might try a wifi connector to the gauge for iPhone compatibility, but the problem there will be getting it past Apple for distribution.
